Is there a search facility anywhere on the blog - or could you add one? And is is there any way to ask a question? For example, there's a North off England phrase that I'd love to know the origin of: "I'll go to the end of our stairs". It means I am surprised. And this modern phrase has me confused (not sure what it means) "Put his feet to the fire". Thanks.
